Caution: Do not use gasoline, charcoal lighter, alcohol, or any other form of fuel.
They may cause permanent damage to the heating element.

Operating instructions

Adding lighter fluid:

When the hand warmer is not hot, remove the top cover of the hand warmer.
Remove the heating element carefully (do not touch the platinum heating mesh).
Pour around 15 ml of lighter fluid (8 ml for the jr. Model) into the cotton reservoir.
You have to fill up the reservoir with at least 70% of fluid in order for
it to start. (note: Do not overfill, stop when you see the first sign of standing
liquid on top)

Lighting the heating element:

If there is standing liquid on the top of the reservoir, you are overfilled the reservoir.
The heating element will catch fire. You can use a napkin to absorb some
of the lighter out or wait several minutes.
Replace the heating element when ready.
Use a cigarette lighter; apply the flame directly onto the heating element directly
for 15 to 20 seconds. The flameless heating element should start. (note: Do not
use the high temperature blue flame torch type of lighter, it will burn the heating
element)

Replace the top cover and wait for several minutes. If the hand warmer failed to
warm up, repeat the above heating process again. (note: New heating element is harder to light up)
Cautions:

The heating element should not catch real flame. If you see real flame from the heating
element, the reservoir is overfilled. Blow out the fire immediately because
the fire can damage the heating element. Wait 10 minutes until some lighter fluid
evaporate or use a napkin to absorb some of the lighter fluid.
Do not add lighter fluid directly to the heating element.
